GBH Law advise on the purchase of Langdon Systems

GBH Law acted for buyers Langdon Customs and Excise Solutions Ltd on their recent purchase of Langdon Systems from Rosslyn Data Technologies plc.

Langdon Customs and Excise Solutions Ltd is a newly incorporated company which is majority owned by Christopher Hewlett and Mark White, both of whom are long-term clients of GBH Law.

Langdon Systems develops software solutions that specialise in the bulk handling of supply chain data associated with import and export duty management systems. Langdon Systems was founded in 1985, and since then has been at the forefront of the customs industry.

Rosslyn Data Technologies plc purchased Langdon Systems in 2019 with the aim to apply their master data management, data mining, reporting and visualisation expertise to a more diverse client base. The purchase of the Langdon Systems business by Langdon Customs and Excise Solutions represents an exciting new stage in the development of the business.

Nickie Hunt-Mason, GM of Langdon Systems said: “We’re excited for the next chapter for Langdon. We will continue to listen to our clients and deliver high quality, customs compliant, multi-functional Duty Management Systems, and continue with our aim to be a leading provider in the UK & throughout Europe.”

On working with GBH Law, Christopher Hewlett said: “Mark [White] and I have worked with GBH Law for many years, the whole team have consistently provided superb professional advice and we would highly recommend their services to other forward-thinking business leaders. We have always appreciated the dedication, knowledge levels and expertise of the entire team although we would like to express our special thanks to Kate Doody, her unfailing grasp of what’s needed to achieve a successful and timely completion is second to none!

“This acquisition is an excellent fit with our other business interests in freight and logistics management software and we’re delighted to work alongside the hugely talented Langdon team. We have ambitious growth plans and look forward to continuing to build on Langdon’s first-class reputation and unparalleled expertise in automated duty and excise management software solutions.”
