GBH Law advises Cake Group on acquisition of assets from Jetpack Distribution
Independent corporate law firm GBH Law has played a key role in the acquisition of assets from a well-known children’s television distributor Jetpack, advising its client Cake Group in a deal that doubles the size of their content library.
This significant transaction for television producer and distributor Cake means they now own over 3,200 half-hours of children’s and family entertainment, strengthening their position in a competitive and fast-moving market.
Jetpack went into liquidation in August, with a deal announced by Cake a couple of weeks prior, which also means the Jetpack name will continue to exist, as well as several key Jetpack employees now taking on senior roles at Cake.
GBH Law’s corporate team, headed by Kate Doody, played a pivotal role in facilitating the acquisition process, offering expert legal counsel and guidance at every stage. Leveraging their experience in corporate transactions, the legal team at GBH Law ensured the transaction completed in a timely and efficient manner.
“We were excited to advise on this important acquisition for Cake Group” commented Kate Doody, Director at GBH Law, “The chance for Cake to acquire such a substantial and popular range of content was an exceptional opportunity for growth, and means Cake continues to expand and strengthen its position in the sector. We were delighted to have been involved.”
Cat Seddon, COO & CFO at Cake Group said: “We are thrilled to have completed this strategic acquisition. It not only accelerates our company’s growth trajectory but also brings on board a wealth of high-quality content and talented professionals from a highly respected industry player. This move significantly enhances our capabilities and positions us strongly for future success in the market.”
