Macmillan Mighty Hike – Team does charity walk for cancer charity

We are taking on the Macmillan Mighty Hike marathon!

On June 10th, a dedicated group of four individuals will lace up their hiking boots and embark on a marathon challenge, the South Coast Mighty Hike, all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The awe-inspiring journey along the South Downs Way will cover the distance of a full marathon, from Brighton to Eastbourne. This endeavour is not just a personal achievement but also a means to support the remarkable work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support. The team includes Denise Herrington and Kate Doody from GBH Law and Richard Herrington and Hannah Cunnah, family and friends of Denise and Kate.

The Mighty Hikes: A Test of Endurance and Dedication

The South Coast Mighty Hike full marathon, organised in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, promises the team and all the participants an unforgettable experience. Starting at Brighton Racecourse and concluding at Helen Gardens on the Western Seafront of Eastbourne, the route spans the magnificent South Downs Way. Along the way, hikers will encounter breathtaking landscapes, from the heights of Itford Hill to the beauty of the River Cuckmere, passing by the iconic chalk white horse and taking on the challenging Seven Sisters. With a total elevation gain of 3165ft, this hilly route demands physical and mental resilience.
