GBH Law celebrates 15 Years of excellence - GBH Law
This month marks a very special milestone for GBH Law – it’s our 15th birthday. Since opening our doors in 2010, we’ve had the privilege of advising clients across a range of business and personal matters, guiding them through challenges, opportunities and life-changing decisions.
What began as a vision to deliver clear, practical and client-focused legal advice has grown into a trusted firm with a reputation for integrity, expertise and care.
Over the past 15 years, GBH Law has flourished, becoming a well-established firm serving businesses across the region and beyond. Along the way, our team has expanded, our services have broadened and our client base has flourished.
What has remained constant is our commitment to people, not just the people we serve but also the people who make up our team. Our clients’ successes have become our successes. From helping start-ups grow into thriving businesses, to supporting our clients through pivotal moments, we are proud to have been part of so many important chapters for so many.
Our Commitment to People and Community
At GBH Law, we believe our role goes beyond providing excellent legal services. Corporate and Social Responsibility is central to who we are. We recognise that our duty extends to supporting our team and giving back to our community.
Our team members are our greatest asset and we work hard to create a supportive culture that fosters collaboration, growth and wellbeing. A key initiative is our “Training Tuesdays” programme, where, on the first Tuesday of every month, we come together for training sessions on topics ranging from legal updates and client management to wellbeing and personal development. These sessions give us the opportunity to learn, share best practices, and spend time together as a team strengthening both our skills and our team spirit.
Our commitment to the community is equally strong. We regularly take part in charity events, everything from Pancake Day and Burns Lunch fundraisers to our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Over the years we’ve raised thousands of pounds for causes close to our hearts, including Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, Parkinson’s UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. Two of our directors even walked a marathon as part of the South Coast Mighty Hike, raising nearly £2,000 for Macmillan. At Christmas and at other key times, we support local food banks with treats and essentials for families in need.
This year our team nominated local charity, Challengers, as our chosen charity. Challengers support disabled children across the South East to play, have fun and make friends in a safe, supportive environment.
We are also proud to support Guildford Hockey Club by sponsoring the Girls’ U16 hockey team and to play an active role in the local business community through the Godalming Chamber of Commerce and attending events run by Surrey Chambers, Surrey Junior Lawyers Division, and the Surrey Association of Women Solicitors.
Awards and Recognition
As we look back and celebrate 15 years, we are also proud to reflect on the recognition our firm and our people have received along the way. This includes being ranked in independent legal directory Legal 500 as a leading South East firm for our Corporate & Commercial advice.
Most recently, GBH Law was named a Winner at the Insider Media South East Dealmakers Awards 2025 and was recognised as a Finalist for Employer of the Year at The Dynamic Awards 2025.
GBH Law has also been shortlisted as a Finalist for Employer of the Year at the Surrey Law Society Legal Awards 2025 in October 2025 and as a Finalist for Employer of the Year, and for the Professional Services Award at the Surrey Business Awards 2025, in November 2025.
Our team has also achieved individual recognition – Vicky Mason was named Support Team Member of the Year at the Surrey Law Society Legal Awards 2021 and we have also had individuals shortlisted as Lawyer of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, and Support Team Member of the Year at the Surrey Law Society Legal Awards 2022.
These awards are not just accolades, they represent the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team and our ongoing commitment to excellence in everything we do.

As the legal landscape continues to evolve, we are excited to embrace the future with the same energy and commitment that has brought us here. Our focus remains on combining traditional values of service with modern approaches, technology and innovation to ensure our clients always receive the highest level of support.
