Our commercial property team advise business and individuals on all types of commercial property transactions and are focused on providing practical, easy to understand advice to their clients to get the job done on time and within budget.

We handle all the commercial property matters our clients need in relation to the running of their business including new leases, lease renewals, tenancy agreements, break clauses, sales and purchases of commercial property and borrowing of money secured on property.

In addition, we act for clients in respect of the management of their property portfolios including advising on granting and renewal of commercial leases, licences and other matters arising from letting of property. We also can assist on deeds of easement and deeds of release of restrictive covenant in respect of both residential and commercial property.

We also act for developers and landowners in relation to buying and selling land and buildings for development or refurbishment. We are experienced in dealing with high value option agreements over land for development.

We have particular expertise in advising charities on the specific rules which affect them in property matters and the legal aspects of managing their property assets to best effect. We regularly assist our clients in the independent school sector, working with them effectively and pragmatically to enable them to put into action their expansion and management plans for their landholdings.

We work regularly and seamlessly with our colleagues in the corporate team in relation to the acquisition and sale of businesses which often have an extensive property element which can, in some cases, be a major factor in the progress of a corporate transaction. We are very experienced in working to achieve pragmatic outcomes for any issues which are encountered in such corporate transactions to enable our clients to achieve their ultimate goals.

We have an extensive network of other property professionals that we have worked alongside for many years such as commercial agents, surveyors, architects, planning consultants, tax advisers and accountants with whom we regularly deal. We are well used to working as a team with them to obtain the best outcomes for our clients.
