Kate is a solicitor specialising in corporate transactions and commercial matters. She trained with City firm Ashurst and stayed with them post-qualification working in the financial institutions group of the corporate department on a range of high-value matters including equity capital markets transactions. She was seconded for 6 months to the legal team at Citi, working closely with the execution team on ECM transactions.
After several years in the City, Kate decided that her interests lay in advising private limited companies and owner-managed businesses. She joined a regional practice to undertake more of that type of work whilst also contributing her specialist knowledge and experience of the AIM market.
Kate joined GBH Law in 2019 to expand its corporate capabilities and develop its client base. Kate has a friendly and proactive approach and prides herself on providing practical and focused advice to her clients. She is company secretary for an AIM-listed client and has particular experience in the insurance and financial institutions sector, having advised on M&A transactions in the insurance sector as well as commercial contracts and GDPR issues for insurance broker clients.
